well done

Level 3 was tricky but then it goes on quite balanced. Nice little shooter, beautifuly drawn. Though a real ending other than the nuke thing would have been cool. Also the rocket launcher is too mighty and would have better been placed in the last two levels. I sticked to it till the flame launcher was unlocked. Though all in all it's a good game. Where's that music from?

Jimp responds:

There is a real ending if you dont use the nuke!

It lives!

Finally another artificial life sim. Though I dont seem to be able to get a higher complexity of life before everything dies... Also I am not sure if there's an actual system behind what is gonna spawn next. I would love to see a further developed installment one day.

BatMantiz responds:

The older the organism, the more o2/co2 they use.
The trick is to learn WHEN to add another seed...
Yes, there is a spawning system, but it is a combination of complexity and luck...

okay, but

The visual style and the animations are quite fancy but the controls might need an adjustment. One thing thet bugs me is the springy screen movement when the player stops moving, its very irritating for me and makes it hard to guess the next landing point. Mario games for example don't do that and they feel good. The other thing is the dodge/boost movement which happens every time I just want to slightly correct the position of the player figure. Though I guess it's also a matter of training. Well, it shouldn't get blammed so I might have a chance to come back here for some more.

buggy

The game is working quite good for the first two championship races but after the third one it freezes... Do some some debuggin, put a better sound and then come back here.

Yavor responds:

Thank you.
The issue has been fixed.

work on it

I can see where this was heading but you need to debug it a little and maybe add some sound for the poppin. That aiming reset should be toasted aswell...

Nope

Sadly this time it's not a finalized game but some kind of tech demo and it doesn't even have an ending or at least medals as opposed to games like Treadmillasaurus Rex for instance.

I don't really consider this an acceptable submission from such a talented artist as you, mister Betz. Back the the drawing board, Sir!

Okay

It feels like a mix between those old Gameboy shooters and those japanese epilepsy arcade games. It's getting pretty though towards the the last 3 levels. Not finished it yet but will try again some other time. So far it's quite a good experience.

Okay

I am a fan of the first two installments and the new one is cool too but there are a few bits that I am not too happy with. I like how the new game is running way smoother in HQ even on my old machine. Though the in parts heavy changes in level design concept, gameplay and music are irritating me a little. Some stuff like the barely working flippers, the locked out areas and the scrolling feel kind of strange if not wrong and even small details like the new non-physical score belly (for performance?) let me wonder if some things should have stayed the way it was before. Nevertheless we got quite a funny game here and anybody should try it out after playing the other two.

Great job!

Phew, finally got the good ending aswell. This game is a nice challenging plattformer with an interesting gameplay concept and a unique athmosphere driving you into depression and desperation while you struggle to find the way out. Though the difficulty level seems a little bit imba since I had some big problems in the middle of the game while the later levels were solved a little faster. This game reminds me of another pearl here on NG called "Tower of Heaven" which was also challenging, retro styled and featuring a mapeditor just like in here. These two games are a must for any gamer with decent skills.

a little beta

The difficulty curve is not existent, stages are almost random. The design of quite a few stages needs to be redone, especially the super boss which takes only a few seconds in the first try and green bird isn't even necessary to click... The visual presentation in parts appears to be the work of a flash amateur, the coding though looks decent. Most disliking stage for me is probably 34 which is a pain in design and gaming... Overall concept with weird super powered birds living on a small island looks quite silly but I guess that is part of the whole thing. Not appealing though...

Well, hello there. I usually contribute to NG by reviewing your games and videos but if your are searching for another collaborator or some help in graphics stuff outside of flash then feel free to drop me a line!
